The DS Tone Generator has actually replaced my audio test signal
generator around here.
Every so often, I have to test the connections to our local teleport,
which runs through fiber lines leased from the phone company. I just
setup a series of clips on a DS timeline, at various frequencies and
levels, run that down the lines, one by one and record the results. In
the video channel I ID what frequency and level is contained in the clip
which is playing. Playing back the recording and watching the meters,
instantly shows and problems developing in the connection (which does
occur frequently).
Another handy DS app!!
