Thanks for the tidbit. I inverted the fields & the animation got really messed up. I think it had to be the way the animator setup his AE. Each logo from lightwave played back perfect. The torn edges only appear in the composition created in AE.
I am hoping not to recomposition the thing in DS - that would be a time killer with a tight deadline.
Very strange.

Sounds like you are inverting the field when you are converting the Qt to
the AVI.

Subject: QT import problem
Hey all,
An animator gave me a quicktime movie (mac vrs 7), plays back fine by its
self. When I capture the movie into DS, the edges of the logos will have a
rip (wavey) look. The logos were created in Lightwave with motion blur (btw,
looks great by
themselves) then imported into After Effects 6.5 for compositing with
straight alpha. Then I will capture that with "Keep Alpha" - "Convert Video
Frame Rate" - Pixel: "Computer Graphics" & tried "NTSC". The animation keys
perfectly but the motion of
the logos flying in become strobe & the edges are torn.
The quicktime file will playback perfectly before imported in to DS.
Any ideas or solutions I should try??? Right now I am converting the QT file
into AVI using After Effects 6.
Thanks in advance for the help,
DS|HD vrs 6
