I wish I could help more but it's seems hardware related.
Maybe you should call support for this.
What settings are your timeline?
Did you create a 44hz timeline and therefore you would need to procees
the 48khz audio before playback?

Day two...same thing happened on a different tape. First 22 minutes is
hiss and then goes silent. Yep, I was monitoring the audio, I could
see that the BOB meters were working and that the meters on the screen
were working. Put the clip on the timeline, opened up the track to see
the waves and there was only hiss.
Rebooted, and still hiss. This was captured at 24bit, 48Khz, just like
all the other things I have done. But I can't get the audio to play at
all...QT won't do 24 bit, iTunes can't read a wav, and media player
won't do 24 bit audio.
What NOW???
