Add a deve effect to your black source.

This is not a huge issue, but when I am working within a tree environment, I find it nececarry from time to time to be able to have Black Source that is much larger than NTSC. For instance, if you link to a large still frame and want to cut a matte, It is helpful to set up a temp composite node with a contrasting color as L1 (from the black source) but the "black" from the effects button area has its "Output Frame size" greyed out. So to set a BG behind my still frame other than black requires adding a graphics node on L1 with a box fill larger than my file source on L2. I hope this does not sound very conveluted, but perhaps I am missing an easier way to have a generated color as my BG + be larger than NTSC.

Hi Dylan,

If you want to keep it as vector strokes then you'll need to do the move
within graphics.

However, an alternative could be to create a large canvas by feeding the
graphics node with a zero alpha black source, DVE'd up to the largest size
you want, then enlarging the EPS within graphics to fill that canvas. Ensure the EPS is drawing on RGBA. You can now DVE the image, use motion
blur, etc etc.

I'm trying to do a move on a Eps file and I'm getting unstuck. I've
Imported the eps into Graphics and can do a move from within graphics
with transform, but it's a bit clunky. Is there any way I could use a
normal dve or a transform node without rastorizing like you would with a
large Tiff. I need to cut between 5 eps images and do a move out on the
composite. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot
Dylan
