Hi Bob and Dec,

It's not normal. I think it's a bad idea, though, since it would make Restoring on another system more difficult.

Cheers,
Seth

Just out of curiosity, has anyone worked with a system
where the projects are NOT on the F drive and the
media is not on the D drive? I came across a brand new
one last week and wondered if Avid has abandoned the
F-projects and D-media format?!?!?! Seems a bad idea
to me ;-/

I have not seen this... but, and I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but who cares? You've always had the ability to choose where you want the media stores.. so long as the operators knows where they are, it doesn't make any difference to me if they're called Z or P or Q.
