i left out part of my workfow, i let the panasonic deck upconvert the 720p to 1080i when i digitized the HD
footage, and exported those clips as ref movies which i linked to in an SD seq. in my experience the deck always seems to
do a better job of changing frame rates and sizes than DS.

Hi Jay,
I'd try linking and set your dve source to "frame". Cheers, Dec

hello list,
i'm finishing an interview show that needs some
shots repositioned. i'm delivering SD NTSC. show was shot 720p.
what i did was digitize the shots that needed repo
in HD. output them as ref files. go back into my SD timeline and link
to the ref files, cut them in and repo. it worked,
but the repos are softer than the footage that was downconverted by
the HD deck when i conformed. is there a better
workflow? 7.6 Equinox
thank you
