Hi Jeff,
No... that's not what I mean (nor what Tim meant)
1. Switch off
2. Hold down Eject button and turn on
But, Dominik's advice to check the ribbon cable first sounds
good.
Regards,
Tone :)

- Rewind the tape.
-
- Powercycle the VTR and hold the eject button on power up.

- Help on this OT
-
- Digitizing from a betasp tape inside my
DVWA500
- I go to eject the tape. The front panel buttons is frozen. I
can't use any of the buttons.
-
- I DOUBLE CHECK THE KEY INHIBIT BUTTON, to
make sure I did not accidentally hit it. Nothing wrong, the KEY INHIBIT
IS OFF.
- Remote is disabled.
-
- I check everything, I was the only person
around, Nobody touched my machine 2 minutes earlier. The only way I
can use the Dbeta machine is through a remote. from another machine or
the DS.
-
- Any clues? Has the microprocessor that
controls the front panels bit the dust.
-
- Thanks for any quick information.
