As a side note to all this HDV talk ( I have yet to work with beyond seeing demos), how are people transfering their HDV footage? Is everyone going native to FCP and then laying off to HDCAM or the like? Clearly we don't want to use the footage natively for any extensive color grading or compositing, but how are people getting the footage to a work tape so that offline downconverts can be made and so that a show can be finished uncompressed as the Sony deck only has firewire as far as I know. Sounds like I might end up dealing with it, and I couldn't find a clear answer in the archives.

Thanks,
