I sometimes turn it off when grading a locked cut so I don't do the whole "accidentally grabbed a clip and moved it out of line with the reference." Other than that i sometimes hit the button on accident and sit there going "why the hell can't I select that stupid clip?" i.e. You aren't the only one who's done that
