Someone seems to have infected the list with a worm virus a few weeks ago. We’re all receiving decontaminated messages which used to contain the virus (at least it’s clean when I get it – I think the list server is handling that) so it’s harmless and an easy “delete.”

See you soon…

John,

Thanks.  I'm unsubscribing to try to stop the flow of spam I'm getting from the list.  I'll be back.

Joel,

Sending an unsubscribe request to the DS mailing list address (ds(at)softimage.com) will not succeed in anything other than getting you some interesting responses about how to properly unsubscribe. Some responses are more polite than others. Personally I favor the “read that email you got from Majordomo when you subscribed to the list” response, but that’s not always effective. To that end I offer this advice:

To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo(at)softimage.com with the following text in the message body:

unsubscribe ds

These instructions used to be appended by the list server to every posting but lately some HTML-formatted messages don’t get that appendix.

Sorry to lose you. Come back anytime.
