Why can't I seem to get the DS DVE to give me a really sharp and
clean image when I want to reformat it for 16:9? I've never got a
decent result with this over the last few years and wondering if I'm
missing something.
When I have Squeezed/Anamorphic, native 16:9 footage that I need to
reformat for 4:3 as either letterbox or full screen, the result is
always soft for me. If I use the "reformat" effect in either Xpress
Pro or Adrenaline, the image is far superior.
Please tell me I'm doing something wrong...
Yes, I've tried all the quality settings, and tried different x, y
values, still no good.
for letterboxing, I use x=100, y=75, bilinear. For going the other
way from 4:3 to 16:9, x=100, y=125.
