Sean and Mark,
I can "third" that motion.  I've noticed a marked increase in rendering times for Fluidmotion since installing QFE 2.

I had the exact same issues today. The first Fluid Motion shots I did with qfe 2 were going to take three or four hours for 120 HD frames.
Some stuff gets fixed some gets broken. Come on qfe3....
