Hi Mayra, what version of DS? If you're still on 7.5 follow the other advice given and create an edl at 23.97. Conform the AAF into a 30fps seq. Copy all of the 30fps clips and clip effects to the clipboard. Open the 23.97 seq and paste the clipboard contents to new video tracks. All of the 30 fps clips should line up and you can simply matchframe the 23.97 clips to the source monitor and replace the 30fps clips keeping the attached effects. It is also a good idea to mute the 30fps clips if DS is getting buggy on you. The Nitris can get upset if it encounters frame numbers above 24.

Have you upgraded to 7.6? If so you are out of luck. 7.6 throws an error message that you can't paste clips with different rates into the timeline.I have asked the list a couple of times if there is a similar workflow for the latest release and since no one has answered I assume not.

Good luck.

E-mail me offlist if you have any further questions.

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to work on a project that was offline at 30fps and now we find out that the final project needs to be delivered at 24fps (OMF & a TIFF sequence). I tried to make a 23.97 sequence and drop my 30fps in that sequence and that didn't work, I did the same with the OMF and that did work. We made a new project at 23.97 and tried to drop the AAF in and that didn't work. We are running out of options, does anyone have any suggestions.

Thank you,
