Thanks tone.
I think what I really want is the deinterlace command under time
effects as it automatically slows the clip down. I am guessing adaptive
deinterlacing will give me the best result. From there I could drop the
sequence into a 24p sequence, giving me a further slow down, and play
it out to tape. It should still be an effective way of shooting slo
mo's for the 25p world.

Hi Anthony,
Being in Europe, we generally avoid 60 and 24 material, so I've not
tried
this. But DS's Defield will give full vertical resolution if you use
Field Merge, but with some loss of temporal resolution (blurring on
fast
moving objects).
Tinder's T_Defield offers a good range of adaptive filters which you'd
need to experiment with to get the best results for your footage. It
can
take a while to process on some settings.

Hi,
Has anyone found a good workflow for turning 1080 60i footage into 60p
for a 24p project? This in theory gives the effect of shooting 60fps
on
film with the trade off of some loss of vertical resolution. I know in
theory it is possible but was wondering what the the best quality way
was to achieve it with DS v7.6.
thanks in advance,
anthony
