10 bit QTs?

I have received some QTs.  1920 x 1080 Uncompressed 4:2:2

Some files, when viewed in QTplayer on a mac with QT7 say they are 8bit. These will open on the DS.

Other files say they are the same format EXCEPT that they are 10bit. These will not open on the DS or in QT player v6.5.2.

Any ideas? Has anyone tried loading the public beta of QT 7 on their production DS?
