Same here!  Seems like any kind of storm knocks out my power.  But don’t worry about us in central Alabama – it’s the Gulf coast that I’m praying for.

Just getting to this at 10amCT Monday. Ya’ll are getting the worst of it though thankfully the marginally-less-damaging western side of the storm. Hunker down and take care. We’re expecting big rain and stiff winds in central Alabama, and since my power at home goes out when a bird sits on the line, my generator is gassed up and ready for a couple of days activity.

We expect some rain, but hopefully that is all. Now my cousin...  that's a different matter - Gulf Shores Alabama area - Foley, Alabama.  He evacuated for Dennis and Ivan, but so far has decided to stay for Katrina. He must not be taking his medication again... :-(

( First experienced hurricane Dora in 1966 at age of 8,  I still recall being huddled in a closet with my entire family as the roof blew off our house.  Maybe that explains the "flying monkey" fear.)
