for the responses thus far. Let me clarify a few things:
1.
Projects: We know the projects "live" where we create them. We have been told
conflicting things as far as where to create them. We have been told both to
create them on the local machine and to create them on the remote machine. What
we are looking for is a definitive answer as to which machine to create them
on.
2. The
remote processing machine is the old DS computer. It's a Compaq, don't recall
the exact specs but I know it is NOT the IBM Z Pro.
3. The
files we are importing are standard definition targa files from the local
drives. We get the files delivered to us on a firewire drive. We copy the files
locally, them import the targa sequence and it takes forever compared to our
previous DS.
Thanks
John
