Hey -

I havn't tried this, so I may be totally wrong here, but what about doing
the timewarp on a downconverted version of the clip in your SD timeline,
then cutting the timewarp curve and applying it to the clip in an HD
timeline. Then you could do the AVI or quicktime reference movie or
reference sequence to get it into the SD timeline. It's a bit more
cumbersome than just doing it directly on the HD clip, but it would keep it
all in DS.

On second thought, maybe the framerate differences will still cause
problems...
