WMV Batch Encoding - revisited

I've been trying to do batch encoding of Ref. AVI's through Windows Media Encoder. This is something I've done before with pretty good results, using the DOS command-line method outlined on this forum in the past. I've also found a "sample" Windows-based batch encoder in the Encoder SDK.

 

My problem is that many of the files that I''m trying to encode barely get started, then are kicked out with an error message ( 0xC00D002E ). I set up a huge batch to encode over Labor Day weekend, and not only did a bunch get the error message, but about 30% through the batch, I got a different error that stopped the batch process completely. Frustrating? You betcha. There's a similar error message mentioned on the Windows Knowledge Base (ends in 2 F) that points to problems with the source file.

 

In brief, I'm attempting to convert 1920x1080i source material to 1280x720p by de-interlacing. It's a CBR encode at 11 Mbps. Using 7.6 QFE 2 Equinox on XW8000. All help is appreciated!
