IS SHAKE OR ANYOTHER SYSTEM IS BETTER THAN DS

Hi fellows

Here is a strange problem

I am working on a a project shot on hdwf900 camera and captured into DS
NITRIS system as 10 bit uncompressed (version 7.6 qfe2) this project going
to be printed on film and printing will be done in France I have talked to
the lab in France and they told me to DS nitris is not giving good enough
output for film so their suggestion is to create a ramp test signal in apple
shake and capture into nitris and compare the result. They say there is a
gamma correction in NITRIS they do not want. Does this mean we should not
use DS NITRIS for film projects ?

I could not understand whether should I use nitris system for hd projects
which will be printed on film or not ?

Do yo have any ideas about that ?
