TJ>> A few things here.

        

1. Before
dragging a 4:3 sequence to a 16:9 timeline do a "Save As" of
the 4:3 sequence.  If you do not then DS WILL get confused when you
switch back to the 4:3 sequence.

        

2. A 4:3
clip on a 16:9 timeline will have all the image available, but obviously
off screen until it is manipulated by a DVE

        

3. To
manipulate a larger than screen size image with a DVE you should NOT
uncheck "Output Screen Size".  DS can only display the
screen size, so you are simply wasting memory resources by forcing it to
compute parts of the image which it cannot display

        

4. You can
pan and scan a clip in exactly the same way with a DVE regardless of
whether it's linked or captured.
