Take it as "Heiser shooting off a poorly-thought-out reply to the list."
I had left out the whole "scale to fit" part.
I've just spent five minutes playing around with various images and
finally got the import to work making a 960x540 square-pixel image in
Photoshop and capturing it into a SD 16:9 sequence with "square
pixels-scale to fit." It worked but was a little soft.
So I resized that image to 720x540 (making it anamorphic) and captured
it again. The type looked much cleaner. So I stick with my previous
posting: create in square pixels at 16:9, resize image to 720 wide,
capture with Scale to Fit and Square Pixels.
