Hi Ken -

I just use the matte effect. Put the matte effect on you V2 clip, draw your shape under the shapes tab, and it should show through to V1. If it doesn't make sure "Fill Inside" is set to 0 and "Fill Outside" is either unchecked or set to 100.

I have a clip on V1 and another clip on V2. How do I paint a shape in Graphics and have V1 revealed in the shape? I am adding graphics to the V2 clip. What am I missing?
