No Virus Utility (our DS station is not on network).  I do have O&O defrag but it is not set to any automatic schedule.  I use it manually only.

Could this be a RAM issue – we have the minimum 1.5 GB.  CompaqEVOW8000.

Hi Mary Beth,

Do you happen to have a Virus Utility program running in the background?  Or if you have a defragmentation program installed, that will sometimes start and effect performance.

Subject: fileXfer rates

I?ve been having lots of trouble getting long format (60-90 min) HD programs to output without interruption.  I have an open case with tech support and have discovered (via the nifty FileXfer Utility) that our file transfer rate from DS to media drives is in the 140 range rather than the suggested 150-175 MB/second recommended range for HD.   Does anyone else experience this?  Is there any way to improve the rate?   Might the error be something else?   Deck settings?   I also tried the suggested turn off monitor & break sequence into segments, and defrag files, and leave room on drives, etc

We use 7.6 on Equinox and have HDW-500 HD CAM deck.

Thanks.
