No unfortunately we have no plan to retrofit this fix in older versions of DS.

I am pleased to announce that following reports that this device was not working corretly with DS we have worked with Miranda and that we have a fix for the problem.  The required changes to support it will be part of 7.6 QFE3. QFE3 will be released in the 2nd half of October.
