Let me give you a reality check this Monday morning:
NO 3D COMPOSITING ENVIRONMENT WILL EVER BE PRESENT IN DS.

You would hope that with v8 we'll have a better 3d environment than the
current tool/box. But I don't even if it does, it'll be a usual buggy
situation.
C* is good. Does the job. Yes I hate export and importing too, but use
an
avi ref out of ds and into DS, on the same box, and you'll be good to
go,
just don't have both open.. At least not while using the same media.
