If you've got the time for the conversion, the Vegas software can very
nicely convert the 1080i to 30P or 24P (but you HAVE to shoot in 60i
without turning on any Cineframe setting on the Sony). But -- this
process loses all TC data from the originals. :-(

Client is WAY too cheap and in too big a hurry to do that (and the stuff is shot already so it's moot - I still don't know what framerate or 'mode' I guess, more accurately, it was done in.) I thought we weren't going to do the project, we basically told him it was a very big hassle, but he wants to rent the AJA and do it anyway.


So that will be my exciting project for Monday..
