That is the strange thing here.  The editor claims the clips was purged and recaptured, twice, and we still have the same problem.  Maybe something sick in the sequence?

I plan to check this out myself, later today or Wednesday.

Thanks!

I’ll confirm the need to recapture. It’s been a long time since this has happened to me and I think it’s because of Equinox board mods and/or codec changes after v6.

Your only option is to re-capture.  I had this problem on a regular basis on my Equinox system before upgrading to 7.5.  There are certain compressions that are just more trouble than they are worth.

In 7.6 - I've hit a but with 10:1 offline compressions where it takes 15 seconds or more to load a clip into the source monitor. But -- the same clips can be opened instantly by dragging directly to the timeline.

Also - when recapturing anything that was 10:1, I lose audio for any recaptures.  It's just blank.  Spent a whole afternoon trouble shooting this one and gave up.  Recapture -- no audio. Make a new clip and capture, and the audio appears for the new clip, and the clips that was to be re-captured.

Hi folks;

I do not have all of the particulars on this problem, yet, but thought I
would run this by the list to see if anyone has seen this one before.

One of our editors was working in a DS sequence (DS-HD V6 Equinox, SD
mode, 5:1 Compression) and had a weird video problem occur.  The
sequence plays up to a certain frame and then goes into a weird "split
frame" mode with the current video on the top half of the screen and a
"loop" of around 1 or two seconds of another part of the clip.  This
will constantly occur, unless the DS is stopped and the app restarted.
Then, if that area of the timeline is play across again, the same
"split" will occur.

Weird, huh?
