Hello Ed,
The behavior you describe is consistent with the Pegasus compression
codec for HD that was used with Equinox systems. This codec was
purchased by Avid from an outside source and was prone to media
corruption, especially with 2:1 compression.
Perhaps recreating the clip would fix the problem, as opposed to only
recapturing it?
