Are you animating a shape? Or moving translating an object? If you are animating a shape… bad news for you, not animation curves for shapes animation in DS, I’m asking for that since version 2. If you are just translating an object or shape, you should see a curve. As there is no curve to represent, I suspect that all what is shape animation into the DS is linear.  But of course, you can use After Effects or DF, or Combustion, I’m sure you will do it much faster.  (Sorry, I can not stop being repetitive on this) Now what you can do to work around your problem, if you are animating a shape, is in the property page of the edit shape in the GFX, there is a button that say “copy shape” copy the shape key you want to keep, advance one frame and paste it, in this way you can simulate the constant curve by repeating the same shape on every single frame. It is possible that AVID some day will understand why we need curves in the shape animation… (Sorry again)

Subject: Constant Keyframes in GFX

I am doing a roto of some cartoon animation done in the traditional 3-2-3-2 frame sequence. So I need to make my keyfames "Constant" to hold for 2 or 3 frames until the next one. Well, I can't seem to do that - I go to the Stroke page, right-click and try to set the interpolation to Constant but it doesn't happen. Also, I don't see a curve that would represent my keyframes in the Animation Editor, i just see the keys as red bars underneath.

Can this be done or are the key by default Bezier or Linear?

Thanks,
