That is only good for the translation of the stroke, not the shape of the
stroke, he is doing a rotoscoping, so I guess he is editing the shape of a
stroke. Am I right?

In stroke, rightclick the key to get to the animation editor. In there 
select all keys you want to change interpolation on. On the top of the 
animation editor go to the properties page, it's just next to the 
question mark. In the choose the keys tab and there you will find 
constant interpolation.
