It really is very hard to see at the moment, and is
extremely frustrating.
With what Avid are doing/not saying, I am hoping that
they are leading the competition into a false sense of
security, letting them thing that DS is dead,
confirming that DS will never have a 3d compositing
environment... because they are going to do something
along the lines as what was done with Sotimage 3d and
XSi, a new product, call it Avid XS (geddit?) with big
hairy balls and 3d environ and so much more that we
have been asking for which is going to knock Autoidesk
on it's back and stun everyone in the industry and
place DS/XS at the top of the industry, a product we
can all be very proud of, that we can create on with
speed and flexibility.
That's what I'm hoping.
Because you would have to be a really stupid mf to
take a product as good as DS and run it into the
ground.
