Could get messy - the DS would need to know which spans you wanted to keep
the same and which could change, and then if there were several areas in an
effect that could change how the keyframes would be distributed or taken
away - the variations are endless.
Do any other editing/compositing systems offer this, and if so, how do they
handle things?
What I'd really like is to be able to make a preset of an effect, say a
dissolve out, with a fixed duration, say 15 frames. Then when I apply the
effect to a clip, I don't have to readjust the duration each time. And with
what you now know, this would solve your problem, too, Larry.
