I just have a still question. Why are theese supposed to be two opposite
positions, why can't they be combined into one. I mean if anybody
belives it took 7 days to create the world - well then I can understand
the opposite positions. If it on the other hand is enough beliving there
is a meaning behind our beeing, then why couldn't theese two positions
really be one. Just a simple question - and I'm probably going to be
flamed for this and refused entry into US next time I stand at the entry.

I see that bringing up the evolution vs. creationism as relates to the
Guiness spot has opened a flurry of responses, none of which favor
creationism. Obviously this has nothing to do with the purpose and
mission of this list. Although I enjoy reading passionate responses in
support of science I would not want to hijack this venue to support
any cause other than the DS, and especially not a cause as highly
politicized as evolution vs. creationism. Lastly, there may be
subscribers out there who do not think that the theory of evolution
addresses the origin of species. Although I personally think the
evidence in support of evolution is overwhelming I do not wish to
marginalize those on this list who may think otherwise. As much as I
would love to continue this dialogue I will refrain from further
comments.
