That depends on what lenght you are talking about. the footage lenght will
be the same, the TC lenght will differ, cause in DF TC , 1 TC HOUR in DF
will be 1 hour of real world time.
In NDF, TC tracks NTSC video at a rate of 30 fps without dropping frames to
compensate for the actual 29.97-fps rate of NTSC video. As a result,
non-drop-frame timecode does not coincide with real world time.
Hope this helps, Salu2,

ok, about timecode being different and footage the same, but are both the
same lenght?
In DF the durations are longer than NDF. Is this real time, or just the
sequence time? I should do a test with short material, in NDF, and DF
both
to tape and recapture to see if the duration is the same, but I'm out of
the
office!
This list is great!!!! Hope DS comes to the level of this list once again!

The short and simple answer: They both play at 29.97, but Drop Frame
changes the timecode numbering (skipping 2 frames every minute except the
10th minutes) to make up for the difference.
But yes, the footage is exactly the same.
