The easiest thing to do is: crreate a composite container with two layers and three tracks. Put background on bottom layer (and one track), put fill on top layer (and one track) and put the graphic on the third track. Now drag the track icon (very left of track) from the track carrying the graphic and place it on the alpha picture icon of the top layer. The graphic will be added as alpha on the top layer. By rightclicking on the picture icon of the graphic (very right alpha on top layer) you can choose to use the rgb or alpha information. Rightclicking on the alpha or between the alphas (on the same layer) will give you different operations and possebilities.
Good luck

Nitris V7.5

I need some guidance making this happen. I have an animated graphic

(text)

thatwas created in AE with a Premultiplied Alpha. I need to use this

alpha

as a hole cutter so when the text animates in, the hole is filled with the
video layer underneath it ( I don't want to use the fill that is built in
with the graphic. I tried putting the shot(new fill) in a container and
with a composite node, used the animated graphic as a mask and selected
Alpha as mask source. I wasn't really getting the right results.

Any help is muchoa appreciated.

TIA
