I've never had luck actually controlling the LX-1 accurately from the DS,
although certain templates will try to work with the player. The LX-1 is
much happier driving the bus, i.e., put your program on tape first (any deck
with time code and a 9 pin remote) and set your capture points on the LX-1's
capture menu. It would be nice to capture while controlling the LX-1, or
output to it directly but I haven't discovered any reliable template
setting. You can capture live into the DS as long as you ref the LX-1 to
house sync, which makes it a good solution for capturing DVD source.

Maybe Ed or some other Pioneer users can chime in here and prove me wrong!
