I have had a lot of memory problems like that until Sylvain shouted at
me to fix my graphic card settings. It has to be set to DS display.
Hopefully DS runs better now. So it is important that for the memory use
that the display is set right. To be checked at:
rightclick on Desktop, properties, settings, advanced, configuration and
make sure Avid DS is selected in the list.

Hey Ken,
I get this error on a regular basis. I personally think something
other than sequence length is going on here (Nitris v. 7.5 QFE4 1080i
59.94 6 minute film), and I’ve sent CABs and emails to support.
Unfortunately, only a restart has gotten me back to work.
Originally it was only happening in HD timelines, but more recently
has started occurring in SD Sequences as well.
Good luck, let me know if you find something.

Nitris V7.5 QFE4
1080 23.98psf
110 minute film, lots of rendered effects (sapphire, selective CC,
Graphic w/CC). When I conformed and graded this film, it was
broken up into 6 reels. Now I have 3 seamless versions. Besides
the fact that it takes anywhere from 10 -20 minutes to open a
sequence (I know long sequences aren't very happy in DS) More than
occassionally, when I make an adjustment to say a DVE or try to
load a clip into the source monitor, I get a "Not Enough Memory To
Complete The Operation" message. Restarting DS usually helps until
after a long render. Then I get the same message. Any way to get
past this?
TIA
KEN
