3-2 contract in the 29.97 sequence, then create the quicktimes for 23.98.

I have linked clips in a 23.98 HD sequence that are linked to 29.97
quicktimes (from the offline for reference). When I cut them into the
timeline and apply a 3:2 contract It does not remove the cadence
correctly. If I step through the uneffected clip it has consistent
cadence, but no matter what frame the position indicator is on, I end up
with interlacing artifacts. Any ideas? This should just work, it isn't
rocket science. Oh and by the way, I did a conform on an adrenaline and
was able to load a reference tape into a 24fps sd sequence, remove
pulldown on the fly and then cut the clip into an HD sequence, have it
scale automatically, and play in realtime against the HD with a 50%
opacity applied. It saved me about six hours of checking conforms, Why
don't we get any of the good features from avid instead of bad 3d and the
like?
