Oug guy has an old miro DC30, he digitizes form svhs and output to an external monitor,
simple and works great.

Some dudes around here sample the spots from digi using a simple card like a decklink on one comp.  Then play it back using Virtual VTR out to the monitor.  The video is locked to the pro tools machine just using a MIDI box.  Works great.  When they scrub Pro Tools, the second comp playing the video locks up exactly with it.
