Jason,
You could click in the value box you want to change and use brackets to
move "x" or "y" brackets move the value incrementally (shift bracket is
+10 - cntl bracket .1 - someone correct me here - something like that).
Is that what you're looking for?

Subject: Animation Editor Question
Hey all,
I asked this question the other day but it was attached to a bunch of
other questions and I think it got missed. So here it is again...
In the animation editor if I want to change a single curve, is there a
way to grab the curve and move it on an X or Y axis and lock it so it
only moves in one direction at a time. The way I normally do it is I'll
select the curve and then type it into the value location. However
that's kind of a vague way of doing things. I want to be able to grab
the curve in the editor and hit a button and so that the curve will move
up/down or left/right but not both at the same time. Make sense?
Thanks
