Short sigthed or not, it is what it is. I am not Avid Bashing...although I feel like SMACKING them sometimes. I am clearly stating that Scott made the best sales pitch (FOR ME!!!!) to seriously start looking at FCP. I own the darn thing and NEVER use/play with it. I have been an Avid guy for some 15 years, and I agree with Gus about getting on the product that does the job for the client.
I don't care, really. I'll move to whatever platform, edit system, country that will pay me. I just find it frustrating that AVID decides to water down their product line instead of developing/redevelop their current products.
I love my DS (editor...darnit!) and would love to have some additional features, but whatever...I don't care, I do what I want! (Eric Cartmanism)

general because Avid is a dominant system provider.
Do you have use for the tools in DS? Do your clients pay for your
services? What can be changed in DS or of your services for the better,
that is what I think this kind of discussions should be about, nothing else.
