Victor is right.  If your project has much size or complexity at all, you'll
most likely hit memory limitations.

Also, and a really important thing to get a good handle on, is that in 2K/4K
you're most likely going to be dealing with log color space.   I'm assuming
that you're working at this rez in order to go back to film, so you'll need
to be able to work closely with the people who do the scanning, the
colorist, and the people who do the printing back to film in order to make
sure that color stays consistent and correct.
