Dear List Members,

I am sorry for the OT.

I am trying help a colleague decide whether going to the expense of
investing in a 4Gbit Unity storage controller card and the Unity
client license to run a Combustion 4 workstation is a reliable and
worthwhile solution.

Is anyone out there doing this already? Any problems or gotchas? He
would like to use Unity as the storage for the system but he could
also use decent local storage for the processing and then push the
result out by Gigabit Ethernet back to the Unity storage. However
using the Unity storage for processing would be a major plus in
efficiency if Combustion and Unity play well together.

Any insight would be welcome and appreciated.

With kind regards,

Neal
