Brandon,
With this workflow, we use FCP with the Variable Frame Rate Converter Plug
in (free from the Panasonic web site) to convert the variable frame rate
stuff. Then we lay off to DVCPro HD tape (for offline downconverts) or make
HD QTs and load into Nitris. This is assuming you don't already have the
hardware Frame Rate Converter from Panasonic. You have to make sure that in
FCP, you are in a 24 frame project. I find that doing the conversion this
way is cleaner than just doing motion FX in Nitris.

I have a project coming in that wants to shoot varicam and finish at 1080i
59.94, are there any gotchas that people have run into? I have dealt with
Varicam material shot at a consistent frame rate, which I then feed to the
Nitris at 1080i and it has worked fine even though it was captured 720P.
However, this project wants to do some under/ overcranking, so I'm just
testing the waters.
