Tone, you've said it best so far I think. My DS is great and can continue to
be used for a while, but with no upgrade to the feature set, 64-bit makes it
fast but still incapable of doing the work our clients are now demanding. So
as I look the next two years DS is already a non-starter. I'm trying to
figure the best way to depreciate it. I would have to displace a bay to have
the DS running AND it's replacement running as well, do I have the work to
keep the DS busy on non-core business AND is it worth displacing another bay
(Adrenaline most likely) to run the DS.
So as these questions bounce around, the key is what the DS might be worth
now, or in 6 months, or in 12 months. All speculation again, but I have no
real-world idea of what it's worth now, I'm hoping some of you do!
