in my exp. when a producer asks for this, and they won't reply to repeated questions as to what system they're on, it's usually an MC (whatever flavor). The problem is you can't make an Avid (MC) sequence from a DS sequence. you can make an EDL, and OMF(which i have my doubts about it working) or you can make a clip from your sequence and export an AAF.

as for AFE, maybe someone else here can enlighten the both of us as to wether or not you can make one out of the DS.

good luck.

Subject: Creating a Sequence File

Howdy all,
I have been creating a bunch of little athlete vignettes for a show. The show's producer is wanting me to send them the Avid sequence. The edits were simple, 1 video track with no image effects, only cuts & dissolves & 2 audio tracks. I sent them an EDL & an OMF. He was not sure how to use them & was still asking for the sequence file. I am not sure what system he is on, I asked 2 times already wit no reply. I tried to save the sequence outside the project folder & of course it did not like it.
I'm on DS|HD vrs 6.02

Thanks in advance for any insight,
