This is indeed the right workflow. Instead of the copies you can
digitize the Pulldown /downconvert output of the JH3. Make sure you're
using the timecode Sense in Setup Menu to put the timecode of the remote
in 30F.
When you log clips start them on the zero or 5 or multiple of 5
timecode(ex:10:21:35:00 or 11:34:07:05) to keep the pulldown sequence in
order.

Hi everyone,
I've got a question regarding 29.98, being English I don't know very
much
about NTSC so please be gently with me.
How do you handle 23.98 in post? We've got a client who's shot 23.98
and
needs to offline on media composer. So far the two routes that have
been
suggested are:-
Offline on Film Composer at 24 fps using a JH3 to put out the correct
timecode.
Make offline copies in NTSC at 29.97 and then edit on Media composer
As you can probably tell I'm rather vague on detail but if anyone can
help
I'd be really grateful.
