although now for off lines and low end composites with lots of patients,, oh patience...

I refuse to go back to the mc afterefx model of composting.

This is what I came from (except Apple brand RAID and 23" displays).  Waaaay better off on DS.  DS is well worth the tens of thousands more to work as an all-in-one.  Apple can think all day that their "round trip" system is adequate, but it simply isn't.  I spent more time in YUV/RGB conversions, pull down issues, and codec juggling than working on the project itself.
