If you write your email address into your "signature" so it appears as
text in the message, plenty of address-mining programs used by spammers
will pick it up and use it. I stopped including my address in messages
years ago, and I still get 30-40 spam messages a day NOT filtered out by
our firewall or Panda Internet Security.
